Carter Cast is a clinical professor at the Kellogg School of Management and also a venture partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital. He was formerly the CEO of Walmart.com and prior to that, the founding chief marketing officer of Blue Nile, Inc. the leading seller of diamonds and jewelry on the Internet. Carter teaches entrepreneurship at Kellogg and has received the Faculty Impact Award by his students each year from 2012-2017. In his role as a venture capitalist, Carter potential investments and advises portfolio companies. Carter sits on the board of Kellogg Company, SMS Assist and the Family Action Network. He is also the author of a new book, The Right (and Wrong) Stuff: How Brilliant Careers are Made – and Unmade, released by PublicAffairs, a division of Hachette Book Group, in November, 2017. Carter has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
