Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Students
On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., LFCDS will host New York Times best-selling author Dr. Lisa Damour, whose talk is entitled “Under Pressure: Confronting the Epidemic of Stress and Anxiety in Students.” Dr. Damour blends years of experience with the latest research developments to provide sound, practical guidance to children and adolescents as well as their parents, teachers, and advocates. Her book Untangled quickly became the informed and engaging go-to guide for parents of teens. A Yale graduate who earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan, Dr. Damour has authored numerous academic papers and textbooks, writes a monthly column for the New York Times, and regularly contributes to CBS News.
